A large real estate developer in New York saved 8% on its natural gas costs in a reverse auction last quarter that was powered by Procurex and managed by Luthin Associates. The savings are for this calendar year and were realized using Procurex’s (www.ProcurexInc.com) proprietary reverse auction software, which enabled this real estate developer to procure natural gas in a highly competitive bid process. Luthin Associates Inc., of Avon, New Jersey, was hired as the developer’s energy management consultant for the bid. State of Maryland and Procurex Team Up to Boost Savings on Energy Reverse Auction Drives Price of Energy Down September 12, 2011 - The State of Maryland Department of General Services Energy Staff obtained three-year energy contracts for 478,050,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) annually. August 25, 2011 Press Release Procurex and Coppervale Establish Strategic Partnership In an attempt to streamline energy procurement, Procurex teamed up with Coppervale Enterprises. Elaborating on the partnership, Coppervale President Paul Shmolotokha believes they will be able to offer a more "comprehensive utility purchase solution for clients in deregulated energy markets."
